This place, which was built in the 13th century was used as a prison until the 1950s in Norway. It is said that the prisoners were punished horribly and the sentences in the castle involved hard physical labor.


The security guards working at the palace report hearing strange scratching and whispering sounds from the hallway. Some people have been pushed by some unknown entity.For many decades, people have seen the apparition of a woman in a dark, long, cloak who roams the castle. Some people believe that she has no face.  They called her Mantelgeisten (cloaked ghost).

Many decades ago, the guards of the castle were ordered to provide more security to the castle, which was why the guards had bought a dog. It is said that they buried the dog alive so that its angry spirit returns to haunt the land forever.  The people who had claimed to be bitten by the dog had died within three months.

These ghosts are not the only ones that haunt the place. On one quiet evening, when a few people were inside the castle, they claimed to hear the sounds of war cries from a field nearby, even when nobody was to be seen. The screams continue to come from the empty war ground in the evenings to this day. On entering the castle, some people may feel somebody breathing on their necks, whom they believe, is the ghost of the old gatekeeper. 

                One not-so-fine day, a drunken Swedish man had

arrived  at the gates of the castle with his horse while claiming that he was going to "take over Norway". Both the man and the horse were shot down at the gate, after which the spirit of the horse(not the man) haunts this place and scares people to death.

  D'Souza Chawl- Mumbai     This haunting occurs in Chawl, or a kind of slum where people are provided basic necessities, in Mumbai, India.      It is said that the people of the chawl were not having a proper and convenient water supply, which was why a well was dug up. Unfortunately, the well had no boundaries and a woman who went to fetch water had fallen in. It is said that she was stuck in there for hours and no one had heard her screams. Unfortunately, she passed away in the well. Many people hear her screams, even today, after dark. Many people have claimed to see her when they're alone, near the well. She is said to be a harmless spirit for she doesn't trouble anyone. Many people have also seen the apparition of a security guard, sitting under a fig tree, in an old uniform at night.   Dow Hill - West Bengal                         I can assure you that Dow Hill in West Bengal, India isn't the best place for you to hike in. When we try to account the horror history of India, the terrifying tales of these hills will always be mentioned. If you're faint-hearted, you should certainly avoid the 'Death Road" between the Dow-hill road and Forest office. Because, on this road, many loggers have reported to see the apparition of a young, headless boy who walks around and then suddenly disappears into the forest. Many tourists on entering, feel like they're being watched and followed. Some also hear footsteps following close behind.  After dark, many people have seen a shiny, red eye peering at them from the woods. To add to this, some people see the apparition of a woman in grey, following them in the deep dense woods . For the last shock, there's a haunted Boys' school near the woods.
