This place, located in Brazil is not only haunted by the 486 people who died in a fire, but also by the 13 people who died in the elevator. Hold up- before I continue this story, why don't you comment down which country's story I must write next!


    The fire which had broken out in the year 1971, had managed to kill many people. The fire is said to have been started by an over heated air-conditioning system. Within 20 minutes, the entire building was engulfed in flames. Since there were no emergency exits, smoke detectors and fire extinguishers in the building, most of the people couldn't escape.

    The fire fighters had arrived, but not with proper equipment and their ladders could reach only till the 15th floor in the 25 story building. They tried to rescue the people on the higher floors using helicopters but failed. It was then, when 13 of the survivors had decided to use the lift, even though it wasn't advisable to do so. The lift had stopped halfway and the 13 of them had unfortunately died in the fire.


The bodies were never recognized by anyone and were buried in anonymous graves. It is said that their spirits had never been able to leave this world. The graveyard in which they're buried in, is haunted by their spirits. The security guard of the place had heard the screams of people coming from inside the graves. After he had poured water in the graves, the screams had stopped coming. Ever since that happened, people have started offering glasses of water to the graves instead of flowers.

    The building is till haunted by the souls of the people who died in the fire. The cars parked outside the building start all by themselves. The elevator stops working when people are inside of it. The strangest of all, the fire alarm goes of almost everyday at the same time when the fire had started many years ago.

  D'Souza Chawl- Mumbai     This haunting occurs in Chawl, or a kind of slum where people are provided basic necessities, in Mumbai, India.      It is said that the people of the chawl were not having a proper and convenient water supply, which was why a well was dug up. Unfortunately, the well had no boundaries and a woman who went to fetch water had fallen in. It is said that she was stuck in there for hours and no one had heard her screams. Unfortunately, she passed away in the well. Many people hear her screams, even today, after dark. Many people have claimed to see her when they're alone, near the well. She is said to be a harmless spirit for she doesn't trouble anyone. Many people have also seen the apparition of a security guard, sitting under a fig tree, in an old uniform at night. It is said that he vanishes in the morning, without anyone knowing. The security guards and workers of the place also complain about doors opening and closing violently by themselves. Wo

  Dow Hill - West Bengal                         I can assure you that Dow Hill in West Bengal, India isn't the best place for you to hike in. When we try to account the horror history of India, the terrifying tales of these hills will always be mentioned. If you're faint-hearted, you should certainly avoid the 'Death Road" between the Dow-hill road and Forest office. Because, on this road, many loggers have reported to see the apparition of a young, headless boy who walks around and then suddenly disappears into the forest. Many tourists on entering, feel like they're being watched and followed. Some also hear footsteps following close behind.  After dark, many people have seen a shiny, red eye peering at them from the woods. To add to this, some people see the apparition of a woman in grey, following them in the deep dense woods . For the last shock, there's a haunted Boys' school near the woods.
